the rhythm of the Church…
The Daily Office is the heartbeat of the Christian Church. The daily rhythm of Morning and Evening Prayer is at the centre of our Parish life. Throughout our three parishes, Morning and Evening Prayer is said daily throughout the year.
Morning and Evening Prayer are short services based on scripture readings and the saying of the Psalms. A hymn is normally sung at each Office and Intercessions for the Church and the World are said. This short act of worship, lasting 15mins approx., roots all that we do throughout our day in scripture and begins and ends our day with God.
Morning & Evening Prayer
At Morning Prayer we commit our day to God and praise him for the gift of a new day. At Evening Prayer, we give thanks for what has gone before and reflect on the day praying for those we have met and those who need our prayers.
If you are interested in coming along to any of our Offices then please do so. These are simple services accessible to all. Several people join us daily before work and the day ahead.
